PLYFLD™ (Play•Field) is an experimental collaboration between two UK-based creatives: Gavin Strange (AKA Jam Factory) and Norman Hayes (AKA Waste Studio). The project grew out of our shared love of pinball and a desire to create something beyond commercial client work, something that gave us the freedom to play, experiment, and be inspired by every aspect of the medium. PLYFLD allows us to draw on more than 50 years of combined experience in the design industry and apply it to a subject that uniquely blends mechanics, code, design, engineering, and storytelling into a single piece of entertainment that, in many ways, feels like it shouldn't still exist.
